Big Nates bbq food truck was at the old Leady's food store so we decided to try it out. I got there around 1:30 and the truck was gone. It seemed unlikely they ran out of food at that location so I check their facebook page and they had moved in town. Off I went in town and found them.
They had got run off at the other location and I couldn't have missed them by much. I asked the lady about the ribs, if they were a full rack, if they were baby backs or st louis cut, were they fall of the bones. She said they were half rack with full rack available for $10 more. She wasn't sure what the ribs were but we finally got it down to st louis cut. She assured me they were fall of the bone and she was going to show me. She said she just had to warm them up. She lost me at fall off the bone and warming them up was icing on the cake. I ordered an italian sausage and Lisa ordered an italian beef. We both got fries and baked beans for sides. While she was getting that ready I talked with the guy behind me who is a transplant from chicago. My ordered came and I gave her a $100 bill. She asked if I had anything smaller and I came up with $29 and she took it. The guy behind me said he'd give me a dollar but I told him to give it to her as I was on my way home. The sausage was good but I really didn't care for the bun. It's supposed to be turano bread from chicago. Lisa said the beef was good but she didn't care for the bun either. The fries were good and probably would have been real good if we'd ate them there. The beans were good but very thick. There were lots of what appeared to be pulled pork in them and had a sweet bbq sauce flavor. Overall okay but nothing special. The lady running it was nice and she's a Packer fan so we'll try it again, maybe even chance the reheated ribs. 🍺🍺🍷 (really brought down by the bun)
