Yesterday Faye's had a guest chef and he was cooking fried chicken to go on one of Faye's biscuits. That sounded really good so I stopped in a got a couple to take home. When I walked in owner Amy had one so I mentioned now I didn't have to ask about it. She said it was a spicy fried chicken breast and right away alarms went off in my head after the day befores fire meal from New Kahala. She assured me it wasn't very spicy and that the hot honey wasn't very hot either.
While I was waiting she also brought out a sample of the chefs porridge consisting of what looked liked nuts, grains and some unknown substances. I enjoyed the sample, very different from the normal stuff I eat. After I looked around the store at all the different things that are available my biscuits were ready. The biscuit was big and very tasty. The fried chicken and honey wasn't very spicy at all and was excellent. About the only thing I could add is that it's the best biscuit sandwich I've ever had. Hope the chef has more guest visits there. 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
