Gabbys on Main

Yesterday we went to Gabbys on Main for the first time.  Gabbys had long been a favorite of ours due to good food and lots of options.  The new owners has done a lot to upgrade the inside appearance but has really cut down the number of food choices and raised the prices.
I finally decided on a burger with swiss, mushrooms, purple onion and pickles.  I debated on chips but stuck with seasoned fries.  The Glue ordered bone in wings, hot of course.  She also got a small Gabbys salad.
There were only a cook and a waitress working but the food arrived in a timely manner.  My burger was a nice sized burger but just okay.  It was overdone for my taste and I should have ordered it cooked medium.  The purple onion was a white onion and the pickle was spear instead of pickle chips on the burger itself.    The fries were very good but I didn't taste a lot of seasoning on them.  I liked the Glues wings better than she did, they weren't hot enough for her but were good for me.  The best thing was the Glues salad.  The half portion was still pretty big and it had a nice blend of items in it.  The house vinaigrette was very good.
