Yesterday was my medicare birthday and the day got off to a less than stellar start when I showed up for my MRI and they told me the appointment was really at 7:30 instead of 7. They just want you there early to register. After waiting about a half hour I got to spend the next 30 minutes holding still in a torpedo tube. At least I got it after fighting with my insurance for a month and a half.
When I got home we decided to go somewhere instead of having something at the house. After considering several options we were down to Cardavino's, Broussards and Logan's when I thought of Katy O'ferrells. I hadn't slept well the night before so I wanted to be home in the afternoon so we got down there around noon. It didn't look like Katy O'ferrells was open but it was. When we walked in there were only a couple guys in the bar side and I noticed one of them had on what appeared to be a Packer shirt then the other guy said nice shirt to me. Always good to walk in a place and see Packer fans and have a conversation. We both started off with the house Irish red that is one of my favorite beers. I pretty much knew I was getting a ribeye and the Glue decided on one too. Both of us ordered a side salad, I got carrots and the Glue got chips. The steaks were tender but closer to medium well or well than they were to medium. We'd also requested cajun type seasoning but there wasn't any on there that we could taste. The steaks were supposed to be glazed with a Jamison type glaze but it was hit of miss where you could taste it. The side salads were nice but the house vinegarette was kind of bland, should have got french instead. The chips seasoning was also hit and miss with some tasting really good and others like there was no seasoning. The carrots were very very good and easily my favorite thing with the meal. Overall the meal was probably better than what I've written but not what I was hoping for. 🍺🍺🍷
