I wanted to go somewhere yesterday and decided on Route 51 brewery mainly because they had some pork belly specials. When we got there we ran into Dan and Chris and had they invited us to sit with them.
They Glue got an amber ale and I got a brown ale but both were very good. I was dead set on getting a pork belly sandwich or tacos but Dan had a philly cheesesteak that looked really good. The Glue got pork belly tacos and I got a cheesesteak but had them put swiss cheese instead of the regular cheese stuff. While we waited we compared places we've been with Dan and Chris and got a few new ones to try. The cheesesteak was good with plenty of meat and not overwhelmed with cheese which is how I like it. The fries were on point. The Glue's pork belly tacos were very good and I should have stuck with my plan, oh well. After Dan and Chris left there was a table full of Packer fans so I went over and talked briefly with them. Wouldn't you know it, for once I didn't have on a Packer shirt, one of the reasons I normally have one on. 🍺🍺🍺🍺 We stopped at Big Muddy on the way home and a childhood neighbor came in to visit her husband who was tending bar. We had a nice time with both of them and then the Packer fans from Route 51 came in so I talked with them some more and also Nate who we met on the lake years ago. A really nice day.
