Taqueria Jimenez

Taqueria Jimenez has been parked uptown for several days.  We'd heard good things about so we gave it a try yesterday.  They didn't have a menu online so I went there and took a picture for the Glue to decide what she wanted.
She went with the barria taco plate and I went with the asada taco plate but got double rice instead of beans.  I also got a tamale and a order of chips and salsa.  The people there were very appreciative of my business and thanked me several times.  It took about 10 minutes of my food to get ready.  As I was walking away I asked about the chips and they had forgotten so they fixed some up.
When I got home I found out they'd forgot the salsa.  The sides of rice and beans were tiny, not anywhere close to the $4 or $5 extra for them.  The tamale was okay but mostly masa with a very small middle.  The asada was tough and the Glue said her barria was too.  Sad to say the best thing were the chips.
Very disappointing for a place we'd heard so much good about.
