2022 bocce meeting

The 2022 bocce season got with the MBC's annual meeting as usual the main topic being election of the new board.  According to one person's count there were 35 people present, more than usual but still not enough considering the size of our club.  There were four people not running for re-election:  Brad, Jay, Bruce and Garrett.  These four will be missed and the new members have big shoes to fill.  Instead of the normal 7 or 8 candidates there were 12 this year.  I had some very hard choices to make with several people I thought would be good board members.  The three returning candidates were all re-elected:  Gene, Mike and Sandy.  Also elected were Rikki, Danny and after a year layoff Ian.  The last spot ended in tie between Billy and Micah, both good candidates.  They decided on a coin flip with the winner getting to break the tie.  Micah won the flip but chose Billy for the spot.
I have not yet heard who is the new president.  The new board will definitely have a new feel to it with three long time members exiting and will have their work cut out for them.
