I had to get an eyeball shot on Friday (yes it sucks) in Harrisburg. On the way back I had to pick up my Durango from Wards who had replaced my radio that had crapped out. After a little time to recover from the shot we decided to go to Broadway Bayou.
We hadn't been there in a while and I'd been craving etouffee lately so naturally I ordered etouffee. The Glue surprised me and ordered BBQ shrimp instead of fried chicken. I think they changed the recipe for the rice in both dishes. I don't remember it being "cajun" rice in the past. Both dishes were very good and there was plenty to bring home some leftovers. Both dishes are served with a piece of cornbread that has some sweetness to it. The cornbread wasn't heated at all and the Glue didn't care for that but it didn't bother me. 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺 On the way back we decided to stop in at Bricktown Seafood and Meat where we'd gotten some cajun mixes previously. We got a big surprise when we found out it was now a restaurant. It's owned by the former owners of Broadway Grille so they may be added cajun dishes in the future.
