Mary Janes Burger and Brews

The Glue fixed cooked some really good meals this week and needed a break so we decided on a trip to Perryville to eat at Mary Janes Burger & Brews.  It's always a nice ride up route 3 but I'm not a big fan of the Chester bridge into Missouri especially when the wind is blowing like it was yesterday but it ended up not too bad.
We both ordered Irish Red with honey, I think it was from Six Mile Bridge brewery.  It was good but there are other Irish Reds I like better.  My choice came down to The Big Kahuna or Here Comes The Boom.  I went with the Big Kahuna which is a pork burger with pork belly, pepper jack cheese, korean bbq sauce and pickled jalapenos.  I got the jalapenos on the side since I can't do hot anymore.  The Glue went with the fish po' boy over the korean bbq skewers.  Both came with unlimited seasoned fries but I opted for a side salad with house dressing instead figuring we would share the salad and fries.
The salad was good but I prefer iceberg or romaine over the arugula/spring mix type.  The house dressing was real good.  The food came just as we were finishing the salad so it was great timing.  Both sandwiches were pretty big.  My pork burger was excellent.  The pork burger worked great with the pork belly and the pepper jack added a little kick.  I'm glad I got the jalapenos on the side.  I tried one on the sandwich and it would have been too much for me.  The Glue's fish po' boy looked burned but it was very crispy and really good but sloppy.  The seasoned fries were okay but didn't really stand out.
Overall a great experience.

We left there and walked down to Jackson Street Brewery.  They don't have a lot of beers that hit our tastes.  We both had the chipotle pecan brown and it was surprisingly good.
After that it was time to head back to the homestead.
