I've been down with a sinus infection/bronchitis type thing. I haven't slept good in a while and it's worn me out.
Yesterday I decided I needed to out and we decided to go on a ride around Giant City and then stop by Old Route 51 BBQ to grab some ribs to take home. We ordered ribs, burnt ends and baked beans. The owner normally comes to the window to talk with us and this was no exception. He told us he had a couple kinds of sausage and asked us if we wanted to try a sample of jalapeno and cheese sausage. I don't handle spicy heat anymore and am not a big fan of cheese in sausage but this was very good. Even the Glue liked it and she's not a big fan of sausage. After we left she said she wouldn't mind a taste of the ghost pepper sausage. When we got home and tried to get the ribs out of the box they were falling apart, not how we like them with a little tug. Competition style. Neither of us cared much for them but we both liked the sauce that came with it. In a later message with the owner he said that his customer base complains if there is any tug to them so he cooks them fall of the bone. The burnt ends were on point and the beans are always excellent and it was nice to get out of the house again. 🍺🍺🍺 with the ribs really dragging the score down.
