We made a quick trip to Sam's yesterday primarily to get wings for the Super Bowl. We had time constraints so we decided to stop at Sergio's in carbondale. I've been wanting to give it a try for quite some time but for whatever reasons it hasn't happened until yesterday.
We both ordered beers and while they have drafts they don't have any Mexican beer on tap, quite a disappointment. Our waiter was very friendly and easy going. I ended up ordering seafood del mar while Lisa ordered cameron del diablo, these names might not be quite right but I don't feel finding their menu to verify. The names should be close enough though. We'd both had these at the old one in Murphysboro before it burned down. The food got there in a reasonable time and looked great. Mine came with shrimp, scallops and clams with broccoli and cauliflower mixed in as the main dish along with fried rice and a "salad". The salad is some lettuce with peppers and peppers, really a better topping than a "salad". The rice was solid. The seafood del mar was great. I wasn't a big fan of the clams but they weren't terrible either and there was plenty to bring home for a light supper. Lisa liked hers too but said it was on the verge of being too hot for her which means way to hot for me anymore. Overall we both thought this was a really good decision.
