Super City, Sullys, Fatt Edds & 51 BBQ

We don't normally have a beer and pick up shrimp at Fatt Edds but yesterday we decided to eat there also.  First we took a quick detour into Paducah to pick up some Yuengling and Kentucky Irish Red at Roof Brothers.  I also picked up some Leinenkugel Toasted Bock that I'd never seen before.
On the way back I mentioned there was a bar on the way into Metropolis so we stopped in Super City Bar and Grill for a quick beer.  They only had mainstream beers on tap but they did have Sam Adams Boston Lager in a bottle.  Really nice looking interior.  The barmaid gave us a little history of the place and was very nice.  She said pizza is what they are known for and the one that was brought out looked good.
As we into Metropolis there was a beer sign at a place called Sullys Billard Bar & Grill and it is a more of a pool hall than bar or grill.  We both got a Sam Adams Christmas which was pretty decent.  I think there were 13 pool tables in the place but it's not really our kind of place.
We got to Fat Edds and ordered a couple tall Blue Moons while we decided what to get.  We got 24 peel and eat shrimp to take home.  We also ordered 12 wings in Edds sauce, a steak kabob, fish tacos and a cup of chili for the Glue.  They gave me the shrimp when I ordered so I took it out to the Jeep to put in a thermal bag.  It didn't take long before our number was called and imagine my surprise when there were 24 more shrimp with the order.  The Glue like the chili enough to get a bowl to go.  The wings were good but everything else was better.  The steak kabobs were real good and the fish tacos were great,  They were made with cod which isn't my favorite fish but it worked.
On the way home the Glue wanted to stop at Old Route 51 BBQ and try their chili which they said is a Tex-Mex style chili.  The Glue sampled it and said it was good but wasn't chili.  I tried it and thought it was awesome and I'm not a overly big chili fan.
Of course when we got home we had to have some of the shrimp which is a long time favorite,
